Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher appreciation week is typically the first week in May. It is the perfect time of the year to take a moment to show your appreciation to teachers for all the effort they put in each and every day to teach and for the education that students receive thanks to them. Teacher appreciation week at Westwood always includes lots of fun events and activities for you to do just that. It is a great opportunity to increase interaction between teachers, students & parents.
Teacher appreciation week is not only a way for students to celebrate their teachers but also for people to learn more about teaching as a profession. Another important benefit from teacher appreciation week is that teachers themselves can discover why their teaching is appreciated and what kind of teaching is considered fun and informative by the students. Exchanges of this sort are always useful both for the teacher to ameliorate her or his teaching and for the student to feel encouraged to learn by letting the teacher know what he or she likes best.
PFC Hospitality Chairs organize activities to give you the opportunity to honor our wonderful Westwood teachers and staff during this national week of recognition, and appreciation for what they do for our kids, families, and community!!
Every day during the week food is served for the teachers and staff to enjoy. PFC funds will be used to provide coffee, tea and water everyday as well as the main course for the luncheon on Thursday. We need the help of our Westwood families by bringing the additional food items. Please sign up on the SIGN UP SHEET or just let us know...we don't want an abundance of the same items.
Any questions, please contact your PFC Hospitality Chair
We thank you in advance for your participation and help in making this a special week for a well deserving group of amazing people!!!
